Peter Spann Peter Spann – Executive Chairman

Peter has over 20 years experience in Financial Services including financial planning, finance, stockbroking, funds management, property development and capital raising and has served on the boards and advised a number of private and public entities.

Peter is a qualified stockbroker, financial planner and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Alan Bennett Alan Bennett – Non-Executive Director

Alan Bennett is an Australian solicitor. He was formerly a partner with Baker and McKenzie and with KPMG Legal.

Alan has a master of Laws with First-Class Honours and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Sydney University where he has lectured for 12 years in the postgraduate faculty.

Alan is the author of a number of legal textbooks including a publication published by Butterworths on Australia’s Financial Services Reform.


Rod Welford – Non-Executive Director

Rod Welford is the current Chief Executive of the Australian Council of Recycling Inc, the national peak industry body for recycling in Australia.

A  former parliamentarian who was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 1989 to 2009, Rod Welford was the Minister for Environment & Heritage and Minister for Natural Resources from 1998 to 2001,  Minister for Justice from 2001 to 2005, Minister for Education and Minister for the Arts from 2005 to 2009, and  Minister for Training from 2006 to 2009.

He also held the office of the Attorney-General from 2001 – 2005. He now works in the fields of recycling, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

He is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of listed public company, AstiVita Renewables Limited, and is a Director of Stanwell Corporation.

He was a prominent solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and barrister of the High Court of Australia prior to entering parliament.

His qualifications are Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours), Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations, Master of Science (Environmental Management) and Certificate in Permaculture Design.
